My aim is to make useful pots, in lovely colors, referencing the prairie landscape. I take materials that come from the earth’s clay and ground-up rocks, and create the conditions in which they can express their potential for beauty.
I enjoy creating ceramic artwork that can last a lifetime of use. I want to design pieces that call out the natural beauty of clay and glaze, while retaining a functional core. The objective of my art is to create pieces that compliment the way they are used in both form and function.
