Christie Clarke creates one of a kind slab built pottery that evokes thoughts of ancient objects that have an unmistakably contemporary sensibility. Each piece is textured and colored with underglaze and glazes that create a depth of surface that is unusual in low-fire pottery. She is represented by several galleries, does a few selected art fairs in the Twin Cities area and has work in the Goldstein Museum of Design at the University of Minnesota, Grand Hand Gallery in St. Paul, the Northfield Arts Guild Shop, and the Red Wing Arts Depot Shop.
