As a watercolor artist, I am passionate about painting nature’s beauty, capturing fleeting moments when the magic of light changes the ordinary into the extraordinary. The works range in scope from intimate, close-up floral, still life and bird paintings to panoramic landscapes and abstract works. Layers of very saturated colors, intricate details and patterns, and strong value contrasts all combine to create a highly sensory interpretation of the world I love.
My approach to watercolors has always been quite realistic, but I am shifting to a more abstract expression of what I want to say. I am experimenting with adding acrylics, inks and gouache to my work.
