I make things out of hot metal by hammer and eye. My materials include steel but also iron, copper and bronze. As blacksmiths are thrifty folk I frequently forge old metals giving them new life. I make things I find interesting, useful, or amusing. Sometimes other people find them interesting, useful, or amusing as well. Maybe you will too.

I turn bowls, lidded vessels, candle holders and other items from the hardwood forests of southeast Minnesota to the boreal forests of northern Minnesota. My lifelong love of trees led me to appreciate their inner beauty. I hope folks love the bowls as much as I love making them.

I began making jewelry in 2008, primarily for myself. What started as a hobby has now grown into a small business that has become my full-time job! I love learning new skills and techniques to keep my designs fresh and my mind sharp. Inspiration often comes from the colors and textures of the world around me, especially nature.
