Christie Clarke is an artist and educator living and working in Northfield MN. After having been a full time functional potter she left the wheel for the challenges of hand building with various clay bodies. Her slab-built low-fire clay vessels are part of a continuing experiment in creating simple objects that have a timeless look; both ancient and modern. She is interested in revealing texture and color in multiple layers with a dry and matte glazed surfaces.
