Rebecca’s paintings are the result of a variety of materials and ideas coming into contact with one another: a song fragment, a news item, a memory, a glimpse of a landscape. Her work suggests a narrative of worlds in collision, ideas and stories and visual fragments interacting with each other, some representational and some not. Her art gives the impression of something remembered and ultimately invite the viewer the opportunity to linger on the details and interactions she depicts.

“An oil painter because, above all, I love the process of blending paint and mark-making, and how these techniques in combination with one another create both literal and symbolic layers on a canvas.”
